| I have always been a big fan of Panasonic products ever since my parents bought one of their first colour TV's when I was about 8 (36 years ago) and it lasted 10 years. I have a portable which is still going strong at about 12 years old. I have this 32 inch TV on my kitchen wall. It looks good and the picture is fine. Not great but well up to the standard of new TV's I've since looked at in Currys etc. | |||

| Clarity of Colours
Haven't tried any HD sources but DVD's through component with progressive scan highlight the quality of the screen. Colours are rich and vibrant. Built in freeview is very good and much better than cheaper manufacturers. In reality Standard TV viewing doesn't do it justice. Sound I've read a lot of reviews saying the sound isn't up to much. Well I can tell you for terrestrial viewing they are very good. Clear and crisp and whilst you won't get deep bass, you can't expect to, it's a flat screen TV! If you want your coffee cup to vibrate when watching movies then buy a surround sound system. Menu functions particularly picture settings. Take some time to set up the picture properly on each input source. It will make a big difference. Do a search for the 'Which' settings as a base. |

| Picture not as sharp as CRT and Plasma counterparts.
LCD's do suffer from blurred edges especially when viewing non HD content and moving scenes. This is noticable but it just takes time to get used to. Like I said above. Having correct picture settings can counteract a lot of this. |

| Paid just under £500 for this TV and for that price you can't go wrong. Excellent build quality, muted yet smart styling and excellent connectivity, sound and picture clarity.
If you are looking to change from a good quality CRT then you need to be buying a higher spec set. If you can afford a few hundred more the LXD70 provides a significant improvement in spec. If your on a strict budget, shop around and buy this one. |
