I ordered an Inspiron PC from Dell UK. It was not delivered in the time period stated. There was a 0.5 - 1 cm gap between the front part and back of the PC Unit and could see an unattached screw and various bits of metal inside.
I used Dell’s online email form to ask when they would supply a replacement. They say they endeavour to reply within 24 hours. but I heard nothing for 5 days. So I emailed to say I was rejecting the goods. After another two days of silence. I contacted their online chat. who just gave me a number for “customer care”.
I rang this number and was on hold for 16 minutes at 5p per minute before getting through to an Indian Call Centre. I was asked for all the order details and then transferred to someone else who asked for the same details. I was told that the computer would be collected between 9am and 5pm. A smaller time window could not be specified.
If you are tempted to purchase anything from Dell. my strong advice is to resist.

Purchase cost me £100 for nothing because they didn't deliver when specified and I can't find out how to return additional items no longer required because they arrived too late or get a refund for items that I didn't accept delivery of. Worst mistake ever in buying from DELL never had this problem with other manufacturers. Should not have been pushed into buying by sales team. Just hope nothing goes wrong with actual Netbook. One star too many in review

Oderered logitech x-230 speakers on 16/12/09 with Dell website showing that product usually ships in 3-5 days (so should have been in time for Xmas present). Checked order status on-line (cumbersome as you need to log in and also require exact order number) and states order due for delivery 18/1/10. even though product page still says 3-5 days. Now spent over 50 minutes on the phone trying to cancel as online cancellation process does not actually confirm if the order is cancelled and just says your query has gone in a queue. Get passed from place to place on phone. Pathetic service Dell. A company such as Dell should be set up with customer service in mind. rather than enticing customers in with low prices and then not actually having the product available. Will definitely never use again. Still trying to cancel order.......

personally speaking .i think this kind of dell is worth the money paid.
